I know you posted this question a while ago, but I just got the SD DVR and noticed that while it will send a constant video signal to your monitor, even if the VRX doesn't, you do have to be careful because now there's something in the middle of the video feed between your VTX and your screen. It doesn't seem to introduce a lot of lag for me, but when I hit record, the display goes black momentarily. Similarly, I once got the DVR to constantly reboot. I think you have to make sure to turn the DVR on when there isn't a live video signal coming in. So, now I turn the DVR and monitor on, then the last thing I power up is the Video Receiver.

Buying an SD DVR recorder may solve the blue screen issue when the video signal is low on your TV. Sratim TV
If your TV shows a blue screen due to a weak signal, an SD DVR recorder might not solve the issue. The problem is likely with the signal strength or source. Consider boosting your signal or checking connections first.
can you try connect to spotify on your tv?
When the video signal is weak, most LCD TVs switch to a blue screen, and an SD DVR will usually capture whatever the VRX is sending—so the issue can still happen if the signal drops. Once the signal is stable, the DVR records normally. While checking similar cases, I found this Kisskh MOD APK mod app guide helpful for general troubleshooting patterns.
Weak video signals usually cause TVs to switch to a blue screen, and some DVRs still react the same way if the input drops too low. I’ve seen similar behavior while testing setups on tools like the iOS Roblox script executor IPA, so the result really depends on how well the DVR stabilizes low-quality signals.
