If you are still searching for an answer:
I had the same thing going on...Take a male to male servo lead...cut the outer two wires so only the middle one remains...plug one end onto the #8 input on the board (so the wire is connected to the middle pin) and the other end on the lower two pins (the ones used for flashing the firmware) make sure the wire on that end is on the outer pin.That should make the screen work again.Dont ask me why,but it worked for me!!
