Tutorials for idiots.

I would like to get more in depth with all things RC however I don't know the first thing about it. I have a delta plane with the smart flight thing and a AR Parrot and wouldn't mind expanding my horizons but I don't even know if I need to buy something for a PNF item since I have and old transmitter plus the one with the delta. Will this work on a PNF model? What do I need to know about these things? A tutorial for these types of questions would be most helpful for someone like me. Could help you sell more products. Just a thought.
