CC3D uses on a plane?

I was looking into getting my first airplane, the Bixler v1.1. I have a cc3d I could use but couldn't find much info about using it in a non-quad. Would it help with stability?
Also, I have some fpv gear and a screen overlay type osd with gps. Would this be a good plane for this eventual shift?
