Cheaper Shipping

Why is shipping so expensive here? Don't you have post service? I puchased a connector for $1 and I have to pay $7 for fedex to ship it. Waste of my money. Can't you guys toss it in an envelope and pay $1 postage. It's not that hard. I've had to pay more shipping several times for couple dollar items that were micro and weight almost nothing.
