turnigy radioTGYI6 reliability issues

 I have recently upgraded (?) from an old but reliable analogue radio for my model yacht.I have purchased a Turnigy TGY I6 on recommendation from some sailing club members,the radio worked for about 2 weeks then started playing up. A warranty claim was made and radio was promptly replaced after confirmation of defect. Now after a couple of months the new replacement radio is doing all of the same things as the original.   Question?, Is the turnigy brand known as a reliable brand and I am just unlucky or is it the worst brand that I could have purchased. P>S> I also purchased a hobby king waterproof servo at the same time and it never worked from day one.   IS there a lesson here.
