Turnigy nano-tech 1300mAh 4S 45~90C Lipo Pack & HOBBYKING™ LIPOLY LOW VOLTAGE ALARM (2S~4S)

Hi All,

I bought 2 x Turnigy nano-tech 1300mAh 4S 45~90C Lipo Packs

and HobbyKing™Lipoly Low Voltage Alarm (2s~4s) alarms, and an Accucell S60 AC Charger.

I am using these to convert power tools, so far so good. However I have one issue.

When the alarm is attached to the battery it draws current continuously (to run the green LED's).

I wish to put a simple switch in the battery housing and use it to disconnect (disable) the alarm when tool is not in use by interrupting the small red (positive) cable on the alarm. Does this sound kosher?

I realise I will have to check the battery status every now and then by switching on the alarm if the tool is not used for some time.
