Floats for the Tundra V2 continue to be out of stock

The floats are clearly depicted on the box of the Tundra V2. But they continue to be out of stock. Will they ever be coming back in stock, or are we being strung along forever? The floats were one of the main reasons to buy this plane. Are there any alternatives? Can one use the floats from the smaller Tundra?

I completely understand the frustration. If the floats are featured on the Tundra V2 packaging, people naturally expect them to actually be available. It’s disappointing to keep seeing them out of stock for so long, especially since floats are a big selling point for bush planes like this. Hopefully they restock soon, but it would be nice if the company gave a clear update instead of leaving customers guessing.

A reasonable answer would be:

  • If the floats are shown on the Tundra V2 packaging, they were likely planned as an accessory, but repeated out-of-stock status may indicate production delays, supply-chain issues, or discontinuation.
  • Check the manufacturer's website, social media channels, or customer support for the most current information on availability. Mincraft
  • As for alternatives, some hobbyists adapt aftermarket floats from other high-wing bush planes of similar size and weight, but compatibility varies and may require modifications to mounting hardware and balance.
  • Using floats from the smaller Tundra is generally not recommended unless the manufacturer specifically states they are compatible. Smaller floats may not provide sufficient buoyancy or the correct mounting geometry for the larger Tundra V2, which could affect water handling and safety.

It might be helpful to reach out directly to the manufacturer or retailer for updates on when the floats will be back in stock. Sometimes, slope can provide estimated timelines or reasons for delays.

I can understand why this is frustrating, especially if the floats were a key reason for purchasing the Tundra V2. Hopefully the manufacturer can provide an update on availability or recommend compatible alternatives. In the meantime, it may also be helpful to check estimate when planning future purchases or project requirements.
