i just got a 55$ custom and not to happy they should tell us before shipping

FollowHidden Import duty and customs charge and lack of customer service.
Ordered some bits to the UK. Paid all costs including postage then had to pay an extra £90 to import the bits or risk sending back and losing the money I had already paid.(as Im sure hobbyking would take postage both ways plus charge a handling fee)
Another small package worth £24 I had to pay extra £11.69 for vat and handling.
hobbyking do not make these clear when ordering items from international warehouse.
I also returned a motor and speed controller combo which didn't work, others seem to have had exactly the same issue as me but I and all others I've spoken too have not heard a thing back from hobbyking except that I should have taken photos or videos. IT DIDNT WORK. Plus I already removed it before I found out this video/photo policy.
I have received batteries etc. and have been pleased with hobbyking up till now.
What's going on. Where's live help? Why is there nowhere to get answers to query's and problems. Where is customer service?
I've spent a lot of money recently with hobbyking and too many things have gone wrong or are not right so will never use again.
Anyone thinking of ordering beware as it seems to be a bit of a gamble whether things will go right or wrong.

Any additional fees beyond the shipping charge you pay when placing your order are between you, your government and the shipping company. Customs/import fees, VAT, etc, - HK has nothing to do with any of that.
