Its pathetic. They lower the price and jack up the postage by packaging in an oversized box filled with shredded cardboard. Make more that way than selling cardboard to recycle-rs.

Why is the shipping costs so high £46 on two items that cost £57 (a yacht and a receiver) and are both available from the UK Warehouse which is only 35 miles from where I live?

I have experienced the same thing, and add:
the weight of the item boxes are overcharged (e.g. 1,2 kg for a 650g plane)
so that you will pay more, and more, and more.
They just catch you with low prices, and then you end paying almost double!
and after the disaster with Malaysia Post (almost 3 months and noone gets their stuff), I am planning to buy form this site never again !!
there are 30+ angry people:

Why can't I pick the way I want my shipment to be, because I can only choose Fedex, which is the most expensive one?

It’s nonsense isn’t it. I get an email from them advertising a screwdriver for £10.40. It’s a good one so I click the link, sign in, add to the basket and then see £5.70 as the cheapest shipping charge??? That item would cost no more than £2 for a private individual to recorded delivery via Royal Mail. So, again, why are the charges so high?
