Today I placed an order for 5 items. All 5 are on back order ! Should I be dealing only with your international warehouse, as the Australian branch is obviously barren? Or should I look for another supplier.

I know how annoying it is. I have waited 2 months for a model which went to backorder after payment and is still not yet been re stocked. but I could have purchased from the INT- W,house and would have received it by now .

Go to live chat and see if they will cancel your order and park your payment in bonus points and then use to pay for same items from International warehouse.
They did that for me when I back ordered a plane kit that became a discontinued item but was restocked under a new product number.
I was able to use the whole credit towards the new item and shipping.
